The sunset fell down to her knees

By HattieMattieMae

I left you a few words today

to remember I love you.

No voices in the night,

just a letter to say

I'm here today.

A vacant room while you are away

emptiness invading the empty

spaces.

Your smile leaving imprints on the sand

remembering once when you took my hand.

When did we stop building sand castles in the sand.

The laughter filled the air, we were free to dance

in the waves and play all day.

We had no time to be afraid

always had something nice to say.

One day it went a way

fading in the last hours of the day.

The sunset fell down to her knees

while we separated drifting other ways.
