The Glory of The Eyes
60
Rivers crossing
birds flying in the air
seedlings fall to the ground
fluttering wings of butterflies
dancing on mountain tops
rivers flowing through the crevices
red earth as it hugs the trees roots
planted firmly in the ground running
so deep beneath the earths surface.
Water dripping down the green leaves
bouncing balancing on the tips of branches
falling slowly to muddy puddles below
watching the face that looks within its
mirror capturing the beauty of human
innocence.
The glory of the eyes telling the story
of young and old
tip toeing in the morning due
reaching for the white clouds that
float over head.
Cotton flying in the wind
jumping to capture it as it flies
hoping you may take it prisoner
feeling the softness of danelions
yellow ink painting white flesh
rosy cheeks taking in the stains
of such a beautiful flower.
