So You Desire Me To Please You

By HattieMattieMae

So you desire me to please you
believe every word you say.
What if I don't believe what
you say anyway.

Weak or tired I'll never know
why you have to remind me
all the time what is wrong
or right in your eyes.

Time is always running around
the clock moment by moment
as we decide what to do
all the time.

We can be indecisive
never making a choice
frozen in time trying
to figure out whether
we are wrong or right.

Somehow we have to move
even if we choose the wrong
move.
Does it really matter anyway
if we win or lose.
Maybe more important
that we've learned a
lesson that we can
never refuse finding
out the truth.

So you feel you need
to call me a sinner or liar.
Just because you believe
something else.
Persuasive with your lines
pitching a speech that
never follows with the
steps you take.

Can you blame me for
questioning your own
choices and beliefs?
Maybe you should be
more concerned with your own
instead of mine.

Easy to judge me expecting
me not to fire back with the
same judgements you've
created on your own truths.

There's little to say when
I realize you would like to change
my mind.
What if your way just isn't best
for me to follow your footsteps
every time.

Hostile remarks never are
the best words when
they are coming out of
anyone's mouth.

Threats that you make
never intimidate me as
I know sooner or later
you will get tired of
trying to run me over
with your arguments
that try to change my mind.

Doesn't matter to me whether
we are both right or wrong.
I rather live in harmony
compromising on what we
both feel is right instead
of making a bigger mess
out of life.

Excuse me if I don't want
to play the game, let's fight.
I'll never be a war monger even
if you have a problem with
who I am in life,
I understand it's your
issue more than mine.

Diversity always wins in the end
uniquely being the creatures we
were designed to be.
That is no lie.
I rather see another persons perception
of things than buying anyone's
particular line.

Leave the prejudices aside
discrimination never favors
loving others is something
I can truly savor.

Beautiful piece Hattiemattiemae, I love the sentiment behind this poem and enjoyed reading it. Especially the part where it "doesn't matter to me whether we are both right or wrong. I rather live in harmony compromising on what we both feel is right instead of making a bigger mess out of life." I could really relate to that.

Thank you Moiragallaga, it is quite simple to do in life, just for others they rather have their way. lol
