Lost In the Night
59
A beautiful silhouette of you,
filling the night through candlelight,
glowing upon the wall,
Silence filling the air,
Letting go of all the tears.
Sadness overwhelming the soul.
the flame burns endlessly,
the night darkened,
stars gleaming in the distance,
but never knowing where you are.
A fragile heart,
delicately tenderly mourning the loss,
holding on to hope,
believing that there is another way,
another answer to the darkness
flooding the soul.
Carrying through out the day,
memories flooding the mind,
never forgetting the precious face
that stood before her eyes.

very touching...thank you for sharing it.
That is sad. funny that love hurts people so much when it is the one thing they believe and hope will make them very happy. What a bite in the butt. Oh, very well written.
Heartache is a bitter pill to swallow, yet we wait until tomorrow for the sun will shine again and your heart will once again be filled with warmth and passion for another, it's simply the cycle of life.Bravo nicely scribed.
Oh your welcome, I felt the rhythm of your heart beat. Tender moments indeed. Hugs and peace from me to you.
Beautiful, sad but beautiful, nicely done.
Such a lovely piece and so heartfelt. I'm sure many will relate as did I. Great job!
Beautifully sad. I have always loved your choice of expressions. In this poem word-picture such as silence filling the air, flooding the soul...evokes poignancy. As a poet you do this superbly
