Giving Love Another Chance

Pain is something you hold on too,

never ignoring the face of it,

never understanding it's just an illusion.

Fear is not your fate,

focusing on it, holding it close and dear.

There are no chains binding you to fear and

pain.

All you have to do is let go of it,

let it fade away,

making a choice to never let it haunt you,

deciding to never create it, or live it again.

A blank canvas you hold in your hands,

as you create the moment before you,

let go of the things from the past,

and learn to dance.

It is so simple,

yet you make it so complicated,

thinking you have to experience,

holding yourself back from experiencing life's joys.

There is nothing to fear,

angels guide your path,

hurting yourselves falling into the thoughts

you concentrate on memories from the past.

The failures gone away,

the present moment is here to stay.

There is a new way,

stepping into the light,

learning to love one's self sets you free.

Unbinding the shackles that tie

you in the mind,

you can never be hurt that way again,

if you only chose a new path.

You've been doing things the same way

all your life,

let go of the bitter strife,

if you only realized you keep yourself

hidden away,

with a hardened heart,

never opening up to trust,

an injured soul,

a victim at heart.

No one's victim but your own,

focusing on the drama,

internalizing,

personalizing the attack,

never understanding it was not your fault,

afraid to change,

Some how you have to learn to sing.

One day you have to learn to spread your wings.

Standing on your own,

balancing the light and dark within.

Love is lost,

but so much love to be gained,

Giving up the ending for a new beginning

let's a new love in.

Love is the only way to dance,

the hurt will pass,

healing hearts begin to live life,

letting go of pain.

Fear is not worth the cost,

misery is not good company.

Your silent voice will be heard again,

as you've given life another chance.

Take the stance to give love

another try,

Open your eyes seeing the

happiness you can feel within,

become alive as you strive

to give love one more chance.
