America's Missing Person's and Unidentified (Help Find Baby Kate From Luddington Michigan!)
78Dedicated to Baby Kate missing at this moment!
I think this is kind of a gruesome thing to write about, but I was amazed how many unidentified bodies there were all over the united states. Approximately 40,000 are noted at this moment, and usually victims of murder, suicide, homelessness, or car accidents. There are even more cases of Missing persons than most people are even aware of at the moment. The estimate for missing persons is 20,596 cases. My friend is just one of them. It was an awesome thing at one point when people put faces on the back of milk cartons, but now we don't see so many of those anymore. It's just a terrible thing for some families to not know where their loved ones are or what happen to them.
How I came across this was because of my friend Bradley Lee Williams Missing from Tampa, Florida. It changed my life forever realising our world wasn't such a safe place anymore. We never think it can happen to us, and yet even this last week a father in Michigan took his own baby, and will not talk where he put her, or if she's alive. Baby Katie is her name. At the present moment police officers are searching golf courses, and woods looking for her. It's a devastating thing to know when you're child is gone without a trace. The news only picks and chooses what cases to focus on like Natalie Holloway. It is something we are unaware of, and never pay attention too.
In search of my friend since 2001, I browsed the Internet reading story after story of unidentified bodies, and missing persons. It was not easy always looking and reading it all. It was just sad that so many people disappeared somewhere on the planet and in our own country. No trace of them, bank accounts left alone, and no one knows any information. The police only searching for a limited time, and the newspapers telling the story for a short period of time.
Some of these loved ones were in car accidents, with no identification on them. It amazed me how so easily something can happen, if we don't have that photo I.D. on us. It becomes complicated for officials to identify who you are, and how no relatives can be contacted. I often even wondered if missing person's families ever looked through the endless list of unidentified reconstructions of loved ones that something bad has happen to them. Some were murdered, some were in car accidents. Some were beaten to death. Some were little children. Those were the sad ones. The little children lost forever, and the things people do to get rid of them. Like Baby Grace, stuffed in a ice cooler and left in a bay. Beaten by her mother and her mother's boyfriend, a precious angel left alone, and tossed aside like garbage.
The missing person's of course are either kidnapped by parents, family members, strangers, or friends. For all different reasons. All having their own agenda's. Some are kicked out of their homes, some are abused by their parents, and some are run aways. They are out in the streets somewhere. Some of them becoming drug addicts, selling their bodies, prostituting, and harming themselves to survive. Some of the children were raped by parents and family members. Some of them were neglected. It's a sad story one after the other.
It's a depressing thing looking at so many stories, and the cases are closed after a certain period of time. Their boxes of clothes or items sit on the shelf in some storage area. Some people buried with no name but Jane Doe, or John Doe. Stories that are forgotten and never remembered. Of course I could write a hub on some of them, but others are to gruesome to tell, and photo's not very appealing to the eye. You wonder why there are not more programs every year trying to recall the stories forgotten hoping someone will say something to help find these loved ones, or return others back to their families.
I always pray that one day families will find an answer, and the unidentified ones returned. I guess I'm just bringing awareness so more people help find where these people are and where they belong.

It is true that being such a fearful subject many want to put their heads in the sand and say it doesn't exist. If we all keep our eyes peeled then better the chance they will be found. Someone knows something somewhere! Great Hub! Vote up!
